One of the corner stones of The Freshwater Centre's  activities is to obtain and promote knowledge about the water environment.

The Freshwater Centre Training Department is the most important contributor of supplementary training and education for Danish environmental specialists.

The subjects are

• waste water and waste water management
• streams and nature
• environmental management of industries, farms and others
• management of polluted soil
• aquaculture

The promotional activities take the form of courses, one day conferences, workshops and international training programmes.

Participants are staff from the environmental departments in the public sector, institutions and private companies. The Freshwater Centre develops and offers the courses in co-operation with a broad spectrum of public organizations and private companies.
